Vampire Knight Review!!!

To say that this rocked would be an understatement since everyone knows that Vampire Knight is a work of art in it's own way. First of all the personality of the characters really contributes to the plot as well as drama and conflicts that they have to overcome.

                                                            Character Summaries

Yuki Cross is the daughter of the headmaster of Cross Academy, a school where humans run the day class and vampires roam the night class. As a guardian of Cross Academy Yuki and Zero Kiryu protect the students from the dangers of the night class as only Yuki, Zero, the headmaster Kaien Cross, and a select handful of others know that the night class is really filled to the brim with vampires. At such a young age Yuki had forgotten all of her memories and was attacked by a rouge level E vampire which Kaname Kuran then stepped in and saved her. For years Yuki had a mega crush on her knight in shining armor Kaname and hopefully you'll look into her adventures at Cross Academy.

Zero Kiryu is a silent and mysterious teen who was brought in by Kaien Cross when he was about 5 or six [ don't quote me on his age I'm estimating lol] after a revenge stricken pureblood murdered his family and turned him into a vampire. Now as a guardian Zero protects the students from the vampires he despises the most and more importantly himself, all the while trying to keep himself from descending down to level E. What's even more dramatic is the fact that he has a huge crush on the girl he grew up with Yuki and even though she's in love with Kaname who Zero despises he quietly pines over her. But there's a twist to Zero's entire family massacre..... I'm sorry that's all I'm going to say, you'll have to watch the actual show to find out the juicy details.

Last on my list is Lord Kaname Kuran the leader of the night class and a pureblood from the Kuran family. When Kaname was fairly young his parents were said to have committed suicide but only he knows the real truth. One day he saw Yuki Cross in the woods being attacked by a rouge level E and ever since then he has done everything in his power to protect her.  But when things collide we find out that Kaname may have had a deeper connection to Yuki than what anyone could have imagined. Not only that but many dark and hidden secrets come out while Kaname plays his little game of chess with his ' friends' and enemies as the pawns...

Okay now that you have had a little taste of the main characters I guess it's time for my real opinion. I absolutely loved the series and would recommend it to anyone who loves a drama, romance, and suspense filled anime especially if the plot is as good as this one. I would rate this 5 stars even though a lot of the plot was twisted and mixed up at first. All in all it was an excellent work of art by Matsuri Hino.
